Seven people have been charged with child abuse in Cabarrus County

CABARRUS COUNTY, NC (QUEEN CITY NEWS) – Seven men have been charged after authorities say they tried to meet children for sex.

Between October 15 and 17, the Cabarrus County Sheriff’s Office, with the help of surrounding authorities, set up a location where each of the men reportedly showed up believing they were meeting a child.

All seven were charged with soliciting a child via computer.

Grayson Blake BrooksThe 23-year-old was arrested on Tuesday, October 15 and is charged with:

• Indecent liberties with a child

• Conspiracy to sell/deliver cocaine

• Advertising to a child via computer

Brooks is being held under a $120,000 bond. He is expected in court on Wednesday, October 30.

Timothy Owen NanceThe 45-year-old was arrested on Tuesday, October 15th. He is charged with computer solicitation of a child and is being held on $40,000 bond. He is expected in court on Wednesday, October 30.

Brian Richard SwedhinThe 42-year-old was arrested on Thursday, October 17th. He is charged with computer solicitation of a child and is being held under a $40,000 bond. He is expected in court on Monday, October 21st.

Matthew Tyler RowlandThe 33-year-old was also arrested on Thursday, October 17 and is charged with:

Rowland was given a $60,000 bond on the first charge but is being held without bail due to the probation violation. He is expected in court on Thursday, November 17th.

Corey Jerel Woods38; Jerry Oneil Harrington62; And Joseph Daniel PedigoThe 47-year-olds were also charged with soliciting children via computer.
