School Bus: Tragic Accident: Woman Killed by School Bus Sparks Outrage in Patna | Patna News

Patna: An angry mob blocked traffic on the main Danapur-Gandhi Maidan road for three hours on Friday after a woman was killed by a private citizen School bus in the Digha Police station area. The protesters blocked the road by placing the woman’s body on it and burning tires. They also destroyed the school bus.
The woman named Phool Kumari (40) was hit by the bus while crossing the road and succumbed to her injuries on the way to the hospital. “The deceased was the wife of one Pradeep Rai, a resident of Masjid Gali in Digha. She is survived by her husband, a daily wage earner, and four children,” said Digha SHO Braj Kishore Singh, adding that other family members were at home during the accident.
Angry family members and locals demanded compensation for the victim’s family, burned tires and caused the roadblock. A rapid reaction force was called to bring the situation under control,” the SHO added.
