Another bomb scare: Air India Express from Dubai to Jaipur receives false report | India News

NEW DELHI: An Air India Express Flight IX-196 takes off Dubai to Jaipur, with 189 passengers on board, received one Bomb threat via email in the early hours of Saturday morning. However, authorities have confirmed that nothing suspicious was found after the plane landed Jaipur International Airport.
“After a thorough examination by the Security forces“Nothing suspicious was found,” Jaipur airport police officer Sandeep Basera told news agency ANI.
This came after a Delhi-London Vistara flight on October 18 was diverted to Frankfurt late on Friday evening due to a similar hoax call. After a thorough inspection and safety check, it took off from there to its destination 2.5 hours later.
The email is also the latest in a series of fake threat messages that Indian airlines have been receiving for the past week, affecting over 40 flights.
As the number of fake threat reports to Indian airlines continues to rise, the Civil Aviation Minister recently assured the public that necessary action would be taken and ruled out a larger conspiracy behind these incidents, describing them as “petty” pranks by minors and pranksters.
“Action is being taken on this. We cannot comment on any kind of conspiracy, but as far as we know, these calls are from some minors and pranksters. These are all minor and isolated incidents. There is no kind of conspiracy.” “We will see from our side what we can do best,” Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu said on Thursday.
