Man accused of possessing child sexual abuse material

LEACHEVILLE, Ark. (KAIT) – A Leachville man is behind bars after police said he sent and received multiple images and videos containing child sexual abuse material.

According to an Arkansas State Police news release, special agents, including the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, executed a search warrant on Thursday, Oct. 17, for 30-year-old Damon Clapp of Leachville.

Officials said they received a tip during the investigation that Clapp had several images and videos containing child abuse material.

Clapp was taken to the Mississippi County Detention Center, where he is being held on $100,000 bail.

He is accused of distributing, possessing or viewing material depicting explicit sexual behavior by a child.
