Three EWC representatives were fired and prosecuted

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – Three East Baton Rouge Parish Prison security officers were arrested Friday, October 18, for alleged mistreatment of an inmate.

According to officials, Noah Jenkins, 23, Julius Conner Jr., 25, and Elijah Christopher, 25, were charged with abuse of office and simple assault.

According to authorities, a video was found on Chistopher’s personal cellphone that showed him attacking a handcuffed inmate at the parish jail.

Evidence was also allegedly found that Conner and Jenkins had committed the same crimes. Investigators say all three officers were in uniform, on duty and in the parish jail.

Officials said Christopher was allegedly accompanied by Conner and Jenkins at one battery, but he was allegedly alone at two others.

All three deputies were fired from EBRSO. The investigation is ongoing.
