Suspect in custody after police chase ends near Quail Springs Mall

OKLAHOMA CITY (KOKH) — Oklahoma City police have a suspect in custody following a police chase.

It started Friday night when officers attempted to stop a car with a stolen tag near Hefner and Sunnymeade Place.

According to OKCPD, the driver refused to stop and led officers on a chase.

At some point during the pursuit, OKCPD called off the pursuit and the Oklahoma Highway Patrol took over.

The chase ended in front of the Quail Springs Mall near Memorial and May.

According to police, the suspect ran into the mall and eventually back outside.

The suspect was taken into custody south of the mall near BJ’s Restaurant and Brewhouse.

Oklahoma City police do not believe there were any accidents or injuries in connection with the police chase.
