Two suspects believed to be responsible for a shooting in the northwest part of the Denver metro area Friday afternoon have been arrested. A spokesman for the Broomfield Police Department said someone fired shots from one vehicle at another car.

The shooting happened near Highway 36 and Northwest Parkway, not far from the Flatirons Crossing shopping center.

According to Broomfield police, one person was grazed by a bullet.

The suspects were arrested shortly afterward about 8 miles away on Sheridan Boulevard in the Arvada area near 58th Avenue and Interstate 76.

There was a large police presence there. A black pickup truck sat on the side of the road, surrounded by police cars and police lines.

According to police, the two suspects tried to escape but were captured by officers.
