Today’s I94 Accident: A violent collision involving two semi-trucks stops southbound traffic near Kenosha, Wisconsin

KENOSHA, Wis. (WLS) — A serious accident shut down southbound Interstate 94 near Kenosha, Wisconsin, Friday afternoon.

The accident occurred in the southbound lane between Somers Road and First Street.

Several vehicles were involved, including two semi-trailers. Both trucks caught fire.

All southbound lanes are closed and only two northbound lanes are open.

ABC7 is working to determine if anyone is injured.

Traffic on the highway is backed up in both directions and is being diverted onto county roads.
