Police investigate knife attack on 16-year-old in Kensington, Philadelphia; Suspect wanted

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — Philadelphia police are investigating after a 16-year-old was stabbed in Kensington on Friday.

It happened just before 3 p.m. in the 2600 block of Kensington Avenue.

Officers said they were called to the scene for information about a person with a weapon.

At the scene, police discovered that a 16-year-old male had been stabbed once in the back. He was taken to St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children, where his condition was stable.

No arrests were made and no weapons were seized.

Authorities described the suspect as a man with a thin build who was wearing a black hoodie with a white pattern.

The suspect was reportedly last seen heading west on Cumberland Street.
