Maryland couple wanted for burglary and assault in Pennsylvania: police

Hanover County police officers were called to the burglary and assault in the first block of Pleasant Street at 11:54 p.m. on Oct. 18, as described in the news release.

During the investigation, police learned that a 47-year-old man and a 34-year-old woman, both from Maryland, committed the crimes at the home.

The couple arrived and met a 25-year-old woman who was outside, the release said. They “physically assaulted a resident outside the residence hall, causing her to retreat into the residence hall,” police said.

The man then entered the home, continued to physically assault the woman and then began attacking a 24-year-old man inside the home before being forced to leave the home, police said.

The couple then fled the scene.

The PA woman was taken to UPMC Hanover for treatment for moderate injuries and the man, who suffered minor injuries, refused treatment.

The investigation is ongoing, but it is not believed that the attacks were random.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or may have information regarding the incident is asked to contact the Hanover Borough Police Department at (717) 637-5575 or York County 911.
