Couple arrested after shooting in Peoria

PEORIA (25News Now) – Two men were arrested on gun charges after reports they were arguing outside a Peoria home where shots were fired.

Police said 43-year-old Elon Coleman was arrested on preliminary charges of unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon, aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, aggravated discharge, aggravated assault with a firearm and three active warrants.

Another man, 29-year-old Donquarius Brisbon, was arrested on preliminary charges of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon.

Police said officers responded to the 600 block of Northeast Prosperity Street just before 8 p.m. Thursday.

Coleman and Brisbon were found when officers arrived.

During the police search, it was discovered that Brisbon had a loaded handgun.

During a search of the house, officers found a pistol and ammunition inside.
