Pedestrian dies five days after crash on Delsea Drive

FRANKLIN – A pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle here Oct. 9 has died from her injuries.

According to Franklin Police, 20-year-old Elishama Louis was pronounced dead at a local hospital on Monday, October 14th.

Five days earlier, she was struck by a southbound vehicle on Delsea Drive near West Boulevard in the Malaga section around 7:50 p.m., a police report said.

The driver, a 50-year-old man from Vineland, remained at the scene. He was treated at a hospital for minor injuries.

The accident remains under investigation.
