Liam Payne’s new beginning in Florida with girlfriend Kate Cassidy before tragic death

There was shock around the world this week following the tragic death of 31-year-old Liam Payne.

The One Direction star died in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where he and girlfriend Kate Cassidy were on holiday for several weeks.

Days before Liam’s devastating death, Kate flew back to her native Florida and shared her happiness at being home on social media. It wasn’t just Kate who loved the Sunshine State, however, as she and Liam built a life there together before his death.

As well as owning a home in Buckinghamshire in the UK, Liam had also decided to rent a property in Florida to be with Kate.

Liam and Kate’s love nest reportedly cost $9,500 a month, with the Spanish-style mansion worth $1.73 million. The musician gave his fans a glimpse of his pad via a funny video on social media.

The Take this off The singer strolled through the palatial home and took a look at the high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows that flooded the home with light. Stone arches frame the doorways, creating a regal atmosphere, while an ornate staircase adds a touch of glamour.

Kate and Liam’s home featured five bedrooms, six bathrooms and a courtyard with a saltwater pool and waterfalls. A nearby clubhouse featured a gym, spa and tennis courts where the couple could pursue their wellness habits.

Given Liam’s high profile, it made sense for the property to be in a gated community to ensure his and Kate’s safety.

Halsey shared her sadness over his death on social media, writing: “A few years ago I bought a house that previously belonged to Liam. I know that the ghosts that haunt us are not tied to buildings. They live in parts of us that are harder to reach and reach wherever we go.
