One person died in a motorcycle accident in Bryan County

Georgia State Troopers respond to a hit-and-run on I-16 in Bryan County Tuesday morning.

One person has died after a hit-and-run accident on Tuesday morning.

According to the Georgia State Patrol, a motorcyclist was killed in the incident that occurred around 5 a.m. on I-16 in Bryan County.

James Wilson Driggers of Savannah was struck from behind by a vehicle that was leaving the scene.

Driggers was then struck by two other drivers who were unable to escape the collisions, according to police.

As of 4:50 p.m., the person responsible for the accident had not been identified. This is a developing story.
