McKenzie mourns the death of a firefighter in a freak accident at home | RJR News

Local Government Minister Desmond McKenzie has expressed his regret over the death of firefighter Corey Spaulding, who died in an accident at his home on Thursday.

Mr. Spaulding reportedly slipped in the shower while getting ready for work and died as a result of the trauma.

His neighbors and colleagues who visited his home found him unresponsive when he failed to report to his base at the Port Royal Fire Station on time.

The Local Government Minister says Mr Spaulding joined the Jamaica Fire Service in 2013 and had a passion for his job.

He expressed his condolences to Mr. Spaulding’s family and colleagues who are mourning his death.
