Child injured in nighttime shooting in Lexington, police investigating

LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) – Lexington Police are investigating a shooting that injured a child on Imperial Avenue overnight.

According to police, the shooting occurred around 2 a.m. Friday, with the child transported to the hospital with reportedly non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say there is no evidence of a suspect and it is unclear what led to the shooting.
