Henrietta-Mann is accused of attempting to lure and rape a child

WEBSTER, NY – Webster police have arrested a man who allegedly used social media to lure a child into sex.

According to police, 30-year-old Adil Dastagir of Henrietta believed he was communicating with a 14-year-old. He was arrested last Friday and now faces charges including attempted rape, attempting to lure a child into a vehicle or building and attempting to endanger the welfare of a child.

He was arraigned in Webster Town Court and placed on supervised release until his next court date on Nov. 13.
