Police are searching for a suspect in a carjacking involving an Uber driver in Queens

QUEENS, NY – Police reports say a 52-year-old Uber driver was attacked and robbed late Thursday evening in front of 241-27 86th Avenue. The incident occurred around 11:20 p.m

An unknown person entered the driver’s vehicle and repeatedly punched him in the face and body, then bit him in the back and pushed him out of the car, police said. The suspect then fled in the victim’s vehicle and drove west on 86th Avenue.

The stolen vehicle collided with several parked cars and a tree before the suspect abandoned it and fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction. The Uber driver suffered minor injuries and was taken to Long Island Jewish Medical Center, where he was reportedly in stable condition.

The suspect is described as a woman with medium complexion, approximately 5 feet 1 inch tall and weighing approximately 180 pounds. Police are continuing to investigate the incident and are appealing for information on the identity and whereabouts of the suspect.
