VICKSBURG, MS – The Rocky Horror Show returns to the Strand Theater tomorrow night, Friday, October 19, from 7:30 p.m

“It’s back! Yes, Richard O’Brien’s Rocky Horror Show returns to the Strand Theater stage with old friends and new blood as they once again attempt to answer the question: “They can’t really do that here, can they?” said the Strand Theater in announcing this year’s run.

Costumes are encouraged and the best costume for each evening will receive $100.

Performances on October 19th and 20th and October 25th and 26th begin at 7:30 p.m., with a special performance of “Midnight” (11:59 a.m.) on October 31st.

The Rocky Horror Show is a cult musical classic that premiered in 1973 and was written by Richard O’Brien. Combining elements of horror, science fiction and over-the-top humor, the show tells the story of a young couple, Brad and Janet, who stumble upon the mansion of the eccentric Dr. Frank-N-Furter thrusts. Inside, they witness a wild and bizarre cast of characters, including Rocky, the doctor’s creation. Famous for audience participation, iconic songs like “Time Warp” and celebration of non-conformism. The Rocky Horror Show has become a popular part of live theater and midnight film screenings worldwide.
