A cleaning staff at a private school in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, has been arrested for allegedly sexually harassing a three-year-old girl on the school premises. A teacher and the school’s security officer were also arrested for concealing the crime, police said.

The accused Nithyanand, a resident of Nithari village in Noida, was hired as a sweeper under contract a few months ago. He allegedly took the girl to a secluded area of ​​the school and sexually assaulted her.

The girl’s parents noticed that the girl was unusually quiet after returning from school and decided to take her to the doctor. When questioned, she said the employee touched her private parts.

The family lodged a complaint with the Sector 20 police station on October 10, which led to Nithyanand’s arrest.

After an investigation, police concluded that the girl’s homeroom teacher and the school’s security officer knew about the assault but did not report it to authorities. They were arrested on Thursday and charged with concealing a crime.
