According to police, a man pushes the driver off the road during another traffic altercation

HEBER CITY – A man has been arrested in Wasatch County. Police say there is another case of road rage in Utah.

Scott R. Farnsworth, 47, was booked into the Wasatch County Jail Thursday on charges of reckless driving and littering, both with a speeding speeding penalty, and five vehicle violations, including illegal window tint and tire width.

On October 10th at approximately 1:40 p.m., the Utah Highway Patrol was notified of a possible tantrum on US 40. The victim went to a UHP office to fill out a witness statement and show officers videos of the incident.

The videos showed “the suspect vehicle was driving recklessly by following too closely, passing on the right, forcing the reporting party to the left of the roadway, and cutting between two vehicles while traveling in the middle of the road,” an affidavit states Police statement. “As the suspect vehicle passed the reporting party, the suspect vehicle began to brake dangerously, checked on the reporting party and threw several items out the driver’s side window.”

During a further investigation, a police officer discovered the vehicle a few days later at an unknown construction site. When officers attempted to question Farnsworth about the incident, he said he would “refer to the Fifth,” according to the affidavit.

He was subsequently arrested for investigation of this incident and had an outstanding warrant.

Farnsworth’s lengthy criminal history includes numerous traffic violations dating back to 1993, including multiple charges of driving with a suspended or revoked license, according to court records.
