The Clifton Park family tells the story of a man’s death from a heart attack

Her father suffered a massive heart attack and died despite her efforts to save him.

A widow and young mother from Clifton Park are sharing their tragic story for an episode of Kelly’s Angels’ Up Beat podcast, hoping their story will help other grieving people.

The family says Mike Tompkins could light up a room. He loved learning and he loved teaching others. Most of all he loved his wife Chrissy and their two sons Cole and Chase.

The boys were just ten and six years old when Mike suffered a heart attack at their Clifton Park home.

“He fell unconscious. I brought him to the ground. I called 911 and tried to revive him, probably for about seven minutes, maybe longer, until the paramedics arrived. And my boys were right there,” Chrissy Cole said.

Not only were they there, but they also helped and desperately tried to save their father’s life.

At 12 and soon to be 8, the Tompkins boys and their mother are doing well.
