1 dead in Hall County house fire; Investigations are ongoing

HALL COUNTY, Ga. – One person was found dead in a house fire in Hall County Thursday afternoon.

According to Hall County Fire Rescue, firefighters responded to reports of a fire in the 4100 block of Sardis Road around 12:50 p.m.

The emergency services found a one-story house that was completely engulfed in flames.

While firefighters battled the fire, a search was carried out inside for the two residents who had reportedly been living there. That’s when they discovered a dead person inside.

The Hall County Sheriff’s Office will assist in the death investigation.

Authorities are not releasing the victim’s information at this time.

Firefighters remained on site until late afternoon and extinguished the fire.

The house is considered a total loss.

The American Red Cross was notified to assist the other resident.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Hall County Fire Marshal’s Office.
