Man in Alachua County Jail on child pornography possession charges

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) – A Gainesville resident is in the Alachua County Jail tonight on multiple charges of possession of child pornography.

GPD officials say 21-year-old James Major was taken into custody this afternoon following an investigation into his online accounts.

They found dozens of images of child pornography

The major also told officers that he had spoken to minors online.

Major now faces a total of 28 charges, but the investigation is still ongoing, officials say.
