2 Ways Steve Sarkisian Can Attack Georgia’s Defense

The No. 5 Georgia Bulldogs could easily be the biggest challenge for No. 1 Texas football and head coach Steve Sarkisian for the remainder of the regular season in the SEC. Aside from a few tough contests against rivals Texas A&M and Arkansas in November, Texas’ schedule doesn’t get much tougher than facing a Georgia team under head coach Kirby Smart that has gone 41-2 in regular season contests since 2021 (according to Sports ). Reference).

Texas wants to do something that hasn’t been done in a long time. The only team the Dawgs have lost to in their last 50 games is the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Sarkisian and the Longhorns have a chance to defeat Smart and the Dawgs under the primetime lights at home on DKR on Saturday night. But the Longhorns will be tested in a variety of ways they haven’t been tested before on both sides of the ball this regular season.

Georgia senior Carson Beck is by far the best quarterback the Longhorns have faced this season. It’s also very realistic to say that, barring injuries, Georgia’s offensive line is the best Texas has faced so far this fall.

It’s encouraging for the Texas offense to know that this isn’t the Georgia defense of last year. Georgia wasn’t as dominant defensively as many college football fans are used to.

However, it will still be a tall order for the Longhorns and Sarkisian to plan and execute at the level required to beat a truly talented Georgia team.

Here are three ways Sarkisian and the Longhorns’ offense can attack Georgia’s defense in this Week 8 top-five battle at DKR in Austin on Saturday night.
