Former Abington police officer pleads guilty to sexually abusing two teenage girls

Jordan Jones, 30, a Horsham resident and former Abington High School school resource officer who was charged in February with institutional sexual assault, endangering the welfare of children and corruption of minors, pleaded guilty Wednesday to having sexual relations with a 17-year-old to have -old student five times or more, Mainline Media News reported today.

According to the story, Jones also admitted to attempting institutional sexual assault on a second student during the 2022-23 school year when she was between 18 and 19 years old.

The open admission of guilt means Jones has not made any agreements with prosecutors regarding his possible sentencing. He faces a possible maximum sentence of 11.5 to 23 months in prison, although state sentencing guidelines could provide for a lesser sentence.

In September, news came of a second victim. Jones allegedly told the student “he wanted her to cook for him in his kitchen while she was naked” and explained “what sexual acts he wanted to perform on her,” court records say.

In May, Dr. Abington School District Superintendent Jeffrey Fecher sent a letter to the community announcing that five new charges have been filed against Jones, involving additional counts of criminal attempted sexual intercourse with a former Abington Senior High School student while she was enrolled.

Abington Police Chief Patrick Molloy’s subsequent statement on the arrest can be found here.
