Update on Pedestrian Accident on I-75 | Local News

UPDATE: Chattanooga police are investigating a fatal crash on I-75 that killed a pedestrian.

The call came in around 7:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 17th. When police arrived, the pedestrian, a 25-year-old man, was dead.







The three-car accident occurred near the Bonny Oaks Drive exit. According to the press release, it was one of these vehicles that hit the pedestrian.

Through video evidence, the Chattanooga Fire Department and Hamilton County EMS were able to determine that the victim was walking in a lane on the highway.

This is an ongoing investigation.


PREVIOUS STORY: A pedestrian was struck on I-75 at Exit 7 near Bonny Oaks Drive Thursday morning. The authorities have not given us any information about the victim’s health.

While both the northbound and southbound lanes were closed in the morning as a TDOT emergency vehicle rerouted traffic, all lanes have now been reopened.
