Shot fired during Foothill Ranch bank robbery

Orange County sheriff’s deputies were searching for at least one suspect in a bank robbery that resulted in gunfire at a Chase Bank branch in Foothill Ranch on Thursday.

Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the Chase Bank branch at 26791 Portola Parkway at 12:03 a.m. Thursday, sheriff’s Sgt. Frank González.

The suspect fired a bullet near a cashier’s foot but missed, Gonzalez said.
