Shelby Co. Democratic Caucus addresses reports of insolvent candidates at various polling locations

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – The Shelby County Legislative Democratic Caucus will host an emergency press conference Thursday evening to address reports of insolvent candidates at various polling locations in Shelby County.

Caucus Chairman and State Representative GA Hardaway says several concerned citizens have come forward because their voting machines had defaulted to a different candidate than the one they voted for.

The second day of early voting will take place in Tennessee on Thursday.

Caucus Chair and State Representative GA Hardaway will be joined by County Election Commissioner Venecia Kimbrow to explain exactly what to do if voters encounter this problem.

The press conference will take place at 6:15 p.m. in front of the Orpheum Theater on the corner of Beale and Main Streets.
