More details on Tim Walz’s second visit to Omaha

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – The Harris campaign shared more details Thursday about vice presidential candidate Tim Walz’s second visit to the Blue Dot this weekend.

The Nebraska native will stop in Omaha on Saturday to attend an afternoon rally. Walz, now governor of Minnesota, was born in West Point, Nebraska; grew up in Valentine; attended Chadron State College; and taught in Alliance.

Walz is expected to arrive at Eppley Airfield from Chicago at 3:30 p.m. He will then speak at a local campaign reception before heading to the rally, which is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m

Venue details have not yet been publicly announced, but doors will open at 2:30 p.m. There is online registration for the event to receive further details directly.

This will be Walz’s second trip to the Cornhusker State this election season. In August, his first visit drew a crowd both inside and outside the Astro Theater in La Vista.

The Trump campaign is also hosting an event in Omaha on Saturday. RFK Jr. and Tulsi Gabbard will attend a Reclaim America Tour event downtown at the Hilton Omaha this evening.
