Man wanted for sexual assault of child in La Salle, tracked down in La Salle | 103.9 WLPO

A fugitive wanted in La Salle for sexually assaulting a child was located in Indiana.

Officers in Fort Wayne arrested Phillip Weeks, 45, of Fort Wayne early Thursday morning on a charge of evading justice. He will eventually return to the La Salle County Jail.

La Salle police began investigating Weeks last August after investigating a report of an alleged sex case involving a child. He was wanted on a warrant for predatory sexual assault after evidence emerged that he had sexually abused a child.

Weeks formerly lived in La Salle. His La Salle County rap sheet prior to the sex crime charge includes misdemeanors for retail theft and battery.
