Watson: CBS Sets Premiere Date for Medical Mystery Drama Starring Morris Chestnut – Canceled + Renewed TV Shows, Ratings

Watson has a premiere date. CBS has announced that the new drama will star Morris Chestnut (The resident) will be available on the network in January.

This new series follows Dr. John Watson (Chestnut) returns to his life as a doctor after the death of his friend Sherlock Holmes. Eve Harlow, Peter Mark Kendall, Ritchie Coster, Inga Schlingmann and Rochelle Aytes also star in the mystery series.

CBS revealed the following about the series’ plot:

WATSON is set six months after the death of the title character’s friend and partner, Sherlock Holmes, at the hands of Moriarty. The series stars Morris Chestnut as Dr. John Watson continues his medical career as head of a rare disease clinic.

However, Watson’s old life doesn’t end with him – Moriarty and Watson will write their own chapter in a story that has captivated audiences for more than a century.

A medical series with a strong investigative backbone, “Watson” features a modern take on one of history’s greatest detectives as he turns his attention from solving crimes to solving medical mysteries.

Watson premieres on January 26thfollowing the AFC Championship Game before moving to its regular time slot on February 16.
