HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – An accident in Horry County caused some residents to lose power Thursday.

In a Facebook post, Horry Electric Cooperative said crews were responding to an outage at the Aynor substation that affected more than 760 customers.

The company also stated that the cause of the outage was a broken mast caused by the crash. Officials added that replacing the pole will take at least four hours once the wreckage is cleared and crews can begin replacing the pole.

At about 3:30 p.m., Horry Electric Cooperative said most of the outages had been resolved.

It’s unclear if any injuries were reported.
