Dan Fogleman, who wrote the Movieguide® Teddy Bear Award®-nominated films TANGLED and CARS, will write an NFL drama for Hulu.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Hulu has picked up the series, which comes from Skydance Sports. Not much is currently known about the project other than that it will involve the NFL and multi-generational family dynamics.

Skydance Sports is combining assets from NFL Films and Skydance Sports to create what they’re betting could be “the world’s leading multi-sport production studio.”

However, recent discussions suggest that the NFL may sell its media division to Paramount Global’s future new owners, Skydance Media and RedBird Capital, according to Bloomberg.

However, the studio appears to still have several projects in development. In addition to Fogleman’s NFL drama for Hulu, SUPERMAN’s David Corenswet will star in MR. IRRELEVANT about the last pick in the NLF draft.

In addition to his screenplays, Fogleman is also known for producing and writing THIS IS US, starring Chrissy Metz, Sterling K. Brown, Mandy Moore, Justin Hartley and Milo Ventamiglia.

Movieguide® has previously praised THIS IS US for its overarching morals:

The beauty of THIS IS US is that each episode portrays life in a cathartic and painfully real way. The series does not attempt to sugarcoat reality or downplay the challenges of being an interracial adoptive family. But despite all their challenges, the Pearson family always falls back on their love and loyalty to one another.

The marriages in THIS IS US honestly portray the challenges couples often face, but remain loving, supportive, and strong throughout. Likewise, the parent-child relationships are shown in both the truly heartwarming and the brutally heartbreaking moments. Although the series is not Christian in nature and occasionally introduces clearly non-Christian concepts, it is rather biblical in its view of family and marriage.
