Motorcyclist killed in crash on I-80 in southeastern Wyoming

A motorcyclist has died after crashing his bike on Interstate 80 in southeastern Wyoming, the Highway Patrol said.

It happened on Sunday, October 13th at around 5:32 p.m. at milepost 220.1 near Sinclair.

According to a summary of the fatal accidents, 55-year-old Mario Ramero of Colorado was heading west when he drove into the median, struck the cable barrier and was thrown from his Harley-Davidson.

Ramero was not wearing a helmet and died from his injuries.

The summary lists driver inattention as a possible factor.

23. Motorcycle fatalities

Ramero is the 84th person and 23rd reported motorcyclist killed on Wyoming highways this year.

According to Highway Patrol fatal crash statistics, there were 13 fatal motorcycle crashes in the state in 2023, 20 in 2022, 15 in 2021 and 17 in 2020.
