Nonpartisan volunteer training available on Election Day

The Office of University Relations will host a Nonpartisan Volunteer Training for Election Day on Thursday, October 24, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. and on Wednesday, October 30, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in AMU 137.

All students, faculty and staff interested in serving as nonpartisan Election Day volunteers for the November 2024 election are required to complete this training.

The Office of University Relations is seeking 50 Marquette students, faculty and staff to volunteer for at least two hours. OUR coordinates volunteer voter assistance and support at the AMU polling location as well as several off-campus polling locations that serve the Marquette community. Interested Marquette students, faculty and staff are being trained to become nonpartisan Election Day volunteers to provide assistance to students and community members prior to the fall election and on Election Day, Tuesday, November 5th.

Nonpartisan Election Day volunteers are not poll workers.

The training is free, but registration for this event is required. A light lunch is served during the training.

If you are interested in nonpartisan Election Day volunteer training but are unable to attend in-person training, please register your interest with Mary Czech-Mrochinski at [email protected]
