BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) – The man accused of killing six people in 72 hours is scheduled to appear in a Jefferson County courtroom Thursday morning.

Birmingham police said at a news conference Wednesday announcing his arrest that Brown was not the intended target, although they believe McDaniel was at the lounge that evening to kill a specific person.

Two nights later, on September 21, McDaniel is accused of firing several dozen bullets outside a club in Five Points South, killing four people and wounding 17 others. Anitra Holloman, Tahj Booker, Carlos McCain and Roderick Patterson Jr. were murdered. Less than 24 hours after the mass shooting, Birmingham police said McDaniel shot Jamarcus McIntyre at 81st Place South. A woman and another man were also shot that night. In this case, McDaniel is charged with murder resulting from robbery and three counts of attempted murder.

Three other men are also charged in connection with McIntyre’s murder. Dmarco Beck, 29, is charged with murder during a robbery. Ny’Quian Lollar, 22, is charged with murder during a robbery and three counts of attempted murder. Larry Rollins, 31, is charged with murder in connection with a robbery and heroin trafficking in an unrelated case.
