1 dead, 1 injured after rollover accident near Gillette

CASPER, Wyo. – One person is dead and one injured in a single-vehicle rollover near Gillette on Sunday, Oct. 13.

According to a preliminary report from the Wyoming Highway Patrol, a GMC Sierra was traveling north on WY 59 around 11:30 a.m. when it left the roadway to the right and overcorrected to the left. The vehicle re-entered the roadway, crossed WY 59 and slid on the passenger side before leaving the road to the left and rolling twice.

According to the report, 45-year-old Jeffrey Lindsey of Wyoming died in the crash. There is no information available about the condition of the injured person. Possible influencing factors include speed and driver fatigue or sleep.
