The Lincoln Lawyer Season 3 Review – As addictive as a courtroom drama can get

The Lincoln Lawyer Season 3 Review – As addictive as a courtroom drama can get

There are a number of reasons for this The Lincoln Lawyer shouldn’t work. For one thing, the adaptation of Michael Connelly’s popular novel series is the most “networkable” thing a streaming service has ever done. There’s a reason for this, as it was originally supposed to be a David E. Kelley production at CBS with Logan Marshall-Green (Prometheus, upgrade) set to star.

Luckily, by a stroke of luck, they managed to get Manuel Garcia-Rulfo (A man named Otto) in the role, and it’s clear they didn’t know what they had. Like the ever popular one Bosch Series on Prime Video, the show’s success is based on its lead role. Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, a last-minute replacement, carries the series into its place with an authentic portrayal of a legal eagle who defends both the righteous and the immoral.

Garcia-Rulfo is wonderful in the role, incredibly likeable and always surprising. The series is like a good summer novel – a throwback to shows with a soppy edge and sensational stories that are easily received because they are addictive and extremely addictive. One could criticize The Lincoln Lawyer for the fact that not much has changed in the three seasons. There’s no need for reinvention, however, as the series’ retro feel is what keeps viewers coming back for more.

The Lincoln Lawyer The third season is based on the novel by Michael Connelly The gods of guiltthe fifth part of the author’s novel series of the same name. The story follows Haller (Garcia-Rulfo), who is struggling with his personal life this year. His daughter Hayley (Krista Warner) has moved in with his ex-wife Maggie (Neve Campbell). Flirting with ADA Andrea Freeman (Chicago Med’s Yaya DaCosta) has also started to heat up.

Plus, Mickey’s demons will catch up with him. That’s because the Glory Days case (Trackers The focus is on Fiona Rene, a call girl with whom Haller comes into contact because of her addiction. Her former pimp Julian (Devon Graye) is charged with murder but maintains his innocence. The lawyer with the flashy blue 1963 Lincoln Continental convertible believes him. Haller takes on the case and puts everyone he loves in danger.

The plot in the third season is much stronger than the previous seasons. Firstly, the addition of Holt McCallany (The Iron Claw) and Michael Irby (Barry) highlights the material, with satisfying plot points flowing seamlessly into one another. The returning cast – Becki Newton, Angus Sampson, Jazz Raycole and Elliott Gould – also feel like old friends. While Raycole’s subplot can sometimes feel like unnecessary filler, it’s a joy to have this compelling group of characters back in your home (or on your phone).

While The Lincoln Lawyer lacks the sun-kissed courage of Connelly’s other adaptations, Bosch And Bosch: Legacy. In the third season, however, things seem to have come full circle around the main character. This gives Garcia-Rulfo plenty of room to shine and deliver his best performance yet as the iconic lawyer. He gives the character a real sense of authenticity that feels real.

Garcia-Rulfos Haller can be inarticulate and flawed, but he is also charming and endearing. But with sharp dialogue, a complicated plot and topical issues, this is the best season of the Netflix legal drama yet. The Lincoln Lawyer is a legal solution you won’t be able to resist and is as addictive as a courtroom drama can be. Sit back, put your feet up and enjoy the streaming recap that no longer exists.

You can stream The Lincoln Lawyer season 3 on Netflix on October 17th only.
