Driver arrested, one dead after SUV crashes into house after chase

FRESNO, Calif. (FOX26) — Police say a chase ended when the driver of a vehicle crashed into a home in Fresno.

According to FPD, at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday night, they were notified over the radio that the sheriff’s office’s Multi-Agency Gang Enforcement Consortium (MAGEC) was pursuing an SUV

When the pursuit ended, the driver of the SUV crashed into a home at Cedar Avenue and Nevada Avenue.

FPD says there were people inside the home and some of them were injured.

One person died, but it’s not clear if they were in the home or if it was the SUV.

Fresno Fire is working to assist a person trapped under the vehicle.

According to FPD, the driver was arrested.
