Soldier died in fatal accident

A military officer of the 11th Mechanized Battalion in Bawku has died in a tragic accident.

Five other people were seriously injured and taken to hospital for treatment.

The accident is said to have occurred near Binduri in the Upper East Region. According to current information, the military truck with registration number 15 GA 04 was on its way from Bawku to Bazua when it veered off the road and somersaulted several times.

The military officer died at the scene of the accident and the five others were seriously injured.

The injured police officers were taken to Bolgatanga Regional Hospital and Tamale Teaching Hospital for immediate medical attention.
