Accident closes intersection in Hamden

HAMDEN, Conn. (WFSB) – A car accident shut down an intersection in Hamden Tuesday evening.

First responders arrived at Dixwell Ave and Mather Street shortly after 10 p.m

The intersection was closed shortly afterwards as police conducted an accident investigation.

A car with severe front-end damage was discovered at the scene of the accident.

It is unclear what the vehicle collided with and whether there were any injuries as a result of the collision.

After an investigation, the road has now been reopened.
