Justin Timberlake had to “make up” for his drunk driving arrest after his wife Jessica Biel was “not happy” about it

Jessica Biel “wasn’t happy” that her husband, Justin Timberlake, was arrested for driving under the influence in the Hamptons in June, a family insider told People Tuesday.

According to the source, the pop superstar “did everything he could” to “make amends” for what he had done, which left him and Biel “relieved” that the scandal is in the past. Details of how he made amends were not provided.

After several court hearings, Timberlake, 43, finally pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge in September. As part of his plea deal, he was forced to apologize outside the courthouse.

Despite her private feelings on the matter, Biel publicly supported her spouse from the start.

The 42-year-old “7th Heaven” alum attended Timberlake’s Forget Tomorrow World Tour concert at Madison Square Garden in New York City on June 25, just a week after his arrest.

At the time, she was seen having fun in the crowd while singing, dancing and sipping a drink.

However, earlier this year, Biel admitted on “The View” that her marriage was “a work in progress.”

“We’re constantly trying to find balance and find the time where we can connect,” she explained in May.

The family source added to People Tuesday that while Biel and Timberlake, who tied the knot in 2012, have been “married for a long time,” “like most couples, they have to work on their marriage.”

“It’s never easy being a working parent,” the insider admitted, before noting, however, that the “SexyBack” singer and the “Sinner” alum “are both committed to staying married.”

“Jess thinks he’s a wonderful father,” the source concluded. “They are a great team.”
