Election season is stressful – and it should be – The Rocky Mountain Collegian

Every four years we experience the same event: the presidential election. The calm of November, which is supposed to be filled with turkeys and pumpkin pie, leads to awkward conversations with that one relative at the dinner table.

Election season turns the year into a sea of ​​questions like: “Are you registered to vote?” “What issues do you want on the ballot?” “Which candidate do you support?” With candidates campaigning left and right, it’s extremely difficult , not to get involved in the election.

With the constant whirlwind of campaign materials, it can be easy to get caught up in the race to determine who will be our country’s next leader, eagerly awaiting that fateful day in November when Americans cast their votes. Election season is scary, but that’s because it should be.

It’s okay to be nervous about voting because a lot depends on who becomes president. It’s going to be a big decision and it’s important to be a little nervous and scared.”

Election season is a big time for the country; We are electing someone to lead and represent America for the next four years. This is an important decision and everyone over the age of 18 has the opportunity to express their opinion on who wants to lead the country.

It’s normal to be a little nervous when deciding which candidate to vote for because you’re entrusting them with an important task. The office of President brings with it a house full of responsibilities that we can hardly imagine, and the chosen candidate must be up to the task.

With the political climate so polarized, this year’s elections will undoubtedly bring about a major change for the future of the United States. The next president will influence everyone in the country; it cannot be ignored. It’s okay to be nervous about voting because a lot depends on who becomes president. It will be a big decision, and it’s important to be a little nervous and anxious. You should care about the election, and being a little nervous about voting just shows that you care about the outcome of the election.

It’s already been a record-breaking election season, with multiple assassination attempts against former President Donald Trump, the exit of President Joe Biden and the candidacy of Vice President Kamala Harris as the new Democratic Party nominee. There is no telling what could happen between now and November 5th.

The only thing that is certain is that as election day approaches, you should consider all the factors that come into play when deciding who to vote for. And if it seems a little stressful, that’s okay. Accept the stress and really think about what your decision means. While it may seem a little silly to worry about something like the presidential election, it just shows that you care.
