A child was reportedly injured by a lawnmower at the Cedar City daycare center

CEDAR CITY — Cedar City first responders were notified Tuesday morning that a young child lost what police called several toes in what police called a lawnmower accident at a daycare center on 1550 North.

Sergeant. Justin Ludlow of the Cedar City Police Department said an accident occurred when someone was mowing the daycare lawn and did not see the child near them.

“I learned that this all happened at a daycare center and the person mowing the lawn was one of the owners,” Ludlow explained.
