Season eight of Tyler Perry’s Sistas starts with a bang – and a twist. Andi is interrogated by a police officer who drops a bombshell: Gary is dead… or so it seems. The detective tests her and tries to find out how she came to almost marry Gary. As always, Andi is frustratingly evasive and refuses to be completely transparent about Gary’s threats against her and Jordan.

To add to the mystery, the FBI agent she was working with is noticeably absent, leaving Andi alone. The detective changes focus and questions Gary’s closest ally, Hudson, who wastes no time in pinning the blame on Andi. One by one, Karen, Sabrina, Danni, Fatima and Jordan are also interrogated, but it’s clear that the authorities believe Andi is the key to uncovering the truth – they’re keeping her in the hot seat longer than anyone else.

Meanwhile, Hayden is conspicuously missing from the series of interrogations. Instead, we see him packing a suitcase while watching the news about Gary’s supposed death. His sudden plans to flee the country seem more than suspicious. But just when Hayden thinks he’s about to get away, Tamara shows up with her seductive charm – ready to distract or manipulate him.

On a lighter note, things are looking up for Sabrina and Rich, they’re back together and seem to be doing well. But then the episode throws up a surprise: Gary isn’t actually dead.

It turns out that the authorities faked Gary’s death as a scare tactic in hopes of forcing someone to confess. Gary is in critical condition, which means we’re not free of him yet. The episode ends with Andi still in the interrogation room – until Robin shows up and tells her not to say another word.

Remember Robin from season six? He despises Gary and has been in love with Andi for some time. Fan theories speculate that Robin may have initiated the investigation into Gary, although this has not been confirmed. The intrigue increases as we wait to see what happens next.
