Eugene’s First Friday ArtWalk with Native American Fashion Show

Eugene’s art scene will be on full display during the First Friday ArtWalk on November 1, 2024. Presented by the Lane Arts Council, the event invites art enthusiasts to take a self-guided tour beginning at the Farmers Market Pavilion at 85 E 8th Avenue.

Attendees can pick up an ArtWalk guide and explore the Artist Market before visiting various galleries and art venues in downtown Eugene from 5:30 to 8 p.m. The ArtWalk is free to the public.

This month, the Farmers Market Pavilion will host a special program in collaboration with the Native American Arts and Crafts Makers (NAACM) and the City of Eugene Cultural Services. The Artists Market will open at 5:30 p.m. and feature the first fashion show titled “Futurism Inspired by Tradition: What Does Indigenous Fashion Mean to You?” The event will celebrate local and indigenous artists and designers.

The program begins with an opening ceremony at 6:30 p.m., followed by the fashion show at 7:00 p.m. This unique presentation aims to highlight the creativity and cultural significance of Indigenous fashion.

Visitors can find further information about the event, including venue details and exhibition descriptions, on the Lane Arts Council website.
