Liam Payne’s last post before his death was a picture of him with his One Direction bandmates and Morgan Spurlock – an Instagram tribute to the filmmaker’s death. In news that shocked the showbiz world this evening, it was reported that 31-year-old singer Liam was tragically found dead in a hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where he is said to have fallen from the third floor.

His last picture, shared in May, showed him with co-stars Louis Tomlinson, Harry Styles, Zayn Malik and Niall Horan and is now being used by fans to share their heartbreak over Liam’s untimely death. One echoed the thoughts of many when he posted: “REST IN PEACE LIAM..”

Spurlock, the acclaimed director and star of the documentary “Super Size Me,” which chronicled his experiment with eating only McDonald’s, died earlier this year at age 53. He had posed with the band at one of their events for This Is Us, which he directed. Liam simply wrote: “Rest in peace Morgan Spurlock, it was a pleasure working with you.”

Reports of Liam’s untimely death are emerging this evening. It said emergency services, including police, firefighters and ambulance personnel, were seen outside the hotel from which he is believed to have fallen. It was reported that police were initially called to the scene because a man was reportedly behaving aggressively.

The report from a local emergency services manager quotes the following: “At 5:04 p.m., we were alerted by the integrated public safety system 911 to a person who was in a management courtyard of a South House Hotel.

“At 5.11pm the SAME team arrived and confirmed this man’s death. Later we found out that he was a singer in a music group. Unfortunately, as a result of his fall, he had suffered injuries incompatible with life, which is what we did. “To confirm his death, there was no possibility of resuscitation.”

Stars from the music world and beyond paid their respects tonight. Miley Cyrus simply wrote, “Rest in peace Liam Payne.” while Jeward, who like Liam was a star thanks to Simon Cowell’s The X Factor, said: “Sending strength to Cheryl and his son Bear and the whole One Direction family, RIP.”

Jaymi Hensley-Marmon from the band Union Jwhose fiancé also died in a fall from a hotel, said: “This tragic news about Liam Payne hits far too close to home and tells us how similar the circumstances are. 2024 be damned.”
