How to Watch 2024-25 Mavericks Games With and Without Cable: Complete Streaming Guide

The start of the NBA regular season is less than a week away and Dallas Mavericks fans are excited to see their new-look roster take the floor.

After their 2024 NBA Finals loss to the Boston Celtics, Dallas fans were left wanting more, and their new additions should help them become one of the top teams in the Western Conference once again.

The offensive dominance and growing chemistry of Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving combined with the defense and shooting of everyone around them appears to be the perfect recipe for success, and Mavs fans won’t want to miss any of the action from October to the playoffs.

After a miserable viewing experience last season, the Mavs have made an effort to make their games more accessible and much more cost-effective.

Of course, every team in the NBA has games that are broadcast locally, and every game that is not broadcast locally is shown on national television.

Local broadcasts

The Mavs are no longer on Bally Sports Southwest and most of their games are now shown on KMPX (Channel 29) or WFAA (Channel 4). Dallas agreed to a broadcast rights deal with TEGNA for the offseason, and now Mavs fans can watch the games much more easily.

While some cable companies don’t have channel 29, you can get it by purchasing a digital antenna to connect to your television. At least 70 games will be broadcast on KMPX or WFAA, with the remaining games being nationally televised games.

Fans in the DFW metroplex and surrounding areas can access WFAA and KMPX by purchasing a digital antenna. Games will also be available to fans in Waco, Tyler, Midland-Odessa, Abilene and San Angelo on TEGNA stations.

This season, the Mavs will have 30 games on national television.

Nine games will be broadcast on ESPN, nine on TNT, seven on NBA TV and five on ABC.

All eyes will be on the Mavs all season long, and fans who aren’t from Texas and don’t have NBA League Pass will have plenty of chances to see Dallas.

It’s currently unclear what the availability of KMPX and WFAA will be without cable or antenna, and the best option remains purchasing NBA League Pass if you’re no longer in the market.

NBA League Pass

NBA League Pass lets you watch every out-of-market NBA game. Prices for the entire season start at $109.99. The Premium plan can be purchased for $159.99 for the entire season.

It looks like the Mavs have the strongest roster of the entire Luka era this season. The Mavs’ projected starting lineup for the 2024-25 season is expected to consist of Luka Doncic, Kyrie Irving, Klay Thompson, PJ Washington and Dereck Lively II.

Dallas’ starting lineup will likely be one of the strongest in the NBA and they also have some excellent backup players. Daniel Gafford, Quentin Grimes and Naji Marshall will all be crucial role players who will help keep the energy high.

Dallas’ deep roster should help them have their best chance of winning a title since Doncic entered the NBA, and you won’t want to miss any of the action.
