Police looking for suspect after hit-and-run involving cyclist in North Austin

Austin police are searching for a suspect involved in a hit-and-run crash in North Austin on Monday that left a bicyclist in critical condition.

It happened at 11:09 p.m. on Oct. 14 at the intersection of North Lamar Boulevard and West Anderson Lane.

According to APD’s Highway Enforcement Investigations Division, a pickup truck was traveling near the area when it collided with a bicyclist. The victim was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. At this point they are in stable condition.

The suspect vehicle did not stop to render assistance or call 911 and left the scene immediately following the accident.

The suspect vehicle is a black Dodge pickup truck that is lifted or higher than stock.
